Strict is an iPhone training log that your AI assistant can read and program. Ask it for an 8-week block and the program is in Strict after the next sync. Then you log the sets, and it can see how they went.
Works with Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and other MCP assistants. The log is free; the AI coach is Strict Pro, free during the beta.
I want a clean tuck planche past 15 seconds and stronger weighted pull-ups. Build me an 8-week block.
get_exercise_historyTuck planche · 9 sessions
Your best clean hold on the floor is 14 sec, and it hasn’t moved in three weeks. Planche leads the block, weighted pull-ups come second, compression stays light, and week 8 is a deload.

Why has my tuck planche stalled?
get_exercise_historyTuck planche · Floor · Full hold
On the floor, your best clean hold has been 14 sec since 21 September, and your fourth hold last session broke form at 13 sec.
You’re ending sets past your clean limit. Cap holds at 10 sec, add a fifth set, and retest in two weeks.
Swap Monday’s weighted dips for ring dips, 4 sets of 6 to 8.

Done. Push A has ring dips, 4 × 6–8, in every week of the block. The dips you already logged stay as they were.

Sample conversation and training data.
Between sets your hands are tired and you don’t want to type. Strict opens the next set already filled in from the last one, so logging it is usually one tap.

The next set starts from your last set or last session, and says which. Change it with a drag or a tap.
Logging is one tap. If you got it wrong, Undo stays on screen for ten seconds.
The countdown runs on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island, and you can log the next set without opening the app.
Every set saves on your phone the moment you log it, so a basement gym with no signal is fine.
Strict connects to assistants through MCP, the open protocol Claude, ChatGPT and Cursor use to work with other apps. After one setup, your assistant can read every workout you log, and write programs if you let it.
Log your workouts on your iPhone. That works without an account, and without signal in the gym.
In Strict’s Settings, choose Connect an assistant and sign in with Apple. Then add this address as a connector in Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor. Connecting an assistant is part of Strict Pro, which is free during the beta.
https://api.strict.training/mcp Your assistant can always read. Turn on Allow edits and it can also create and change programs, saved workouts and custom exercises, but never a set you’ve logged.
Your assistant sees the same history you do, including the setup of every set. Tap a request to copy it.
Strict only compares a set with sets done the same way, so a banded hold never counts as progress on a strict one. Your assistant reads the same history, with the setup attached to every set.

A set where your form broke, or one you failed, stays in your history but never counts as a best.
Every set records its variation, apparatus, assistance and range of motion, so an easier setup can’t inflate your best.
When every set hits the top of the range, Strict suggests a next target. Nothing in your plan changes until you accept it.
You don’t need an account to use Strict. You sign in only to connect an assistant, and you decide what it may change.
The training log is free. The AI coach is Strict Pro, and it’s free while Strict is in beta.

No. Programs, saved workouts, Quick workouts, rest and progress all work without one.
It can read your workouts and sets, programs, saved workouts, exercises and progress over time. If you turn on Allow edits, it can also create and edit programs, saved workouts and custom exercises, and switch your active program. It can’t change or delete a workout or set you recorded.
The next time Strict syncs, outside a workout. A change never lands in the middle of a workout you’re logging.
Only to connect an assistant, and then you sign in with Apple. Your training is still saved on your iPhone first.
Yes. Squats and bench press log as reps and weight; planche, levers and handstands log as holds or reps. Each setup keeps its own history, so a banded hold never mixes with a strict one.
Yes. Every set saves on your iPhone first, and syncing to your assistant waits until you’re back online.
Not today. Strict is for iPhone.
Once Strict is on your iPhone, connect the assistant you already use and ask it for your first block.
